With all the issues in the news about climate change.. how would 2070 be like if we continue consuming the energy levels we do now? I think we won't use less energy and i'm afraid the future will be much more polluted than now.

I'm using energy saving bulbs, just in case. ;\)
But will it matter. :\/

It does matter, but only if we all act together.

And it does not matter if the energy usage does not drop, if we use clean sources to generate that energy. Right now, we use fossil fuel for our cars still, and the USA in particular produces a very high amount of co2 gas. Those are problems we need to act on right now, to make sure our future is safe for our kids.

Take control of the input and you shall become master of the output.

It does not matter, unless mankind is able to construct a Deathstar, almost nothing we do has any significant impact. We've been using plastic for about 50 years and allready bacteria have evolved which eat the stuff, cockroaches are able to survive a nuclear holocaust. Sure, we might kill ourselves and most other things on the planets, but that's nothing special in the long run, 99% of all species that have lived on the world are extinct. Compared to commetstrikes, mega-tsunami's en supervolcanos mankind is rather insignificant. You just have to stop thinking about this earth as a static system and take into account the proper timescales, anything less then 10000 years is short-term.

But if you really feel you should do something green: don't make children. Every human polutes, so every human less means less polution. But if you don't produce childern, you also won't produce grandchildren, and greatgrandchildern, etc, etc, etc. If you think calculate how much polution you'll prevent in the long run (all generation till man is no more) you could probably cause a global nuclear war and still have greenypoint left >:\]

Just because it's easy for you doesn't mean it can't be hard on your clients.
