With all the issues in the news about climate change.. how would 2070 be like if we continue consuming the energy levels we do now? I think we won't use less energy and i'm afraid the future will be much more polluted than now. | |||

It does not matter, unless mankind is able to construct a Deathstar, almost nothing we do has any significant impact. We've been using plastic for about 50 years and allready bacteria have evolved which eat the stuff, cockroaches are able to survive a nuclear holocaust. Sure, we might kill ourselves and most other things on the planets, but that's nothing special in the long run, 99% of all species that have lived on the world are extinct. Compared to commetstrikes, mega-tsunami's en supervolcanos mankind is rather insignificant. You just have to stop thinking about this earth as a static system and take into account the proper timescales, anything less then 10000 years is short-term. Just because it's easy for you doesn't mean it can't be hard on your clients. |
